Job Summary:

The role of a Senior Financial Analyst, Global Product Organization is to provide business oversight and guidance to Global Product’s Managing Directors, VPs, and their respective teams. This role will support a newly formed, rapidly expanding business unit within Aptiv with the vision to become a  leading software and technology product organization which accelerates the autonomous driving experience.


  • Acts as a key partner and contributor to cross functional department leaders providing performance analysis, define business risks & opportunities, as well as identify key levers to propel business improvements and drive profitability 

  • Lead the P&L analysis including gross margin and business profitability reporting for the Connected Services business

  • Lead development of engineering business plan/budget and forecast, including improving process efficiencies by developing financial models and reporting dashboards

  • Review and analyze actual / forecasted project resource consumption, review KPI’s and complete trend analysis. 

  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure the project actual costs are accurately reflected in financial reporting packages

  • Support Global Product leadership team with short term and long-term strategy planning, developing Product Roadmaps to drive strategic priorities and investments

  • Manage the NRE and prototype credit processes to ensure credits accurate bookings

  • Develop process, track and obtain approval to capitalize embedded software and NRE

  • Complete ad-hoc reporting requests as they come up

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required

  • 5+ years of financial analysis experience required

  • Excellent communication & presentation skills

  • Proactive and process driven attitude

  • Fluent in English, any other language is a plus

  • SAP and Planview experience a plus

  • Excellent use of MS Office and in particular Excel & PowerPoint

  • Understanding of accounting processes, procedure and internal controls

  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently

  • Excellent organization skills

  • Ability to manage competing priorities

  • Ability to generate creative ideas to improve performance
